How Form Versioning Affects Your Forms and Settings

Enterprise plans only.

Once a form is published, you can select Edit to make changes.

If you’re on an Enterprise plan and you do this, then you create a new version of the form and republishing your edited form replaces the previously published version. Old versions are available in the History tab.

Almost all form settings are versioned as well, for example, changing the success message on a version 3 draft form will only take effect when you publish version 3. Until it is published, the success message will still be the content set for version 2.

Immediate Changes to Form Settings

Some settings are not versioned and will take immediate effect on the latest published version. Changes to these settings go live straight away:

All changes made to the Themes, Snippets, Lists, and Field sets in Admin take effect immediately, as well as changes to the Buttons, text, and messages in the Organization defaults. As such, be cautious when changing items like field sets as it can affect the content of your forms and your response data set.
